Who We Are

Theo and Viv Perry have had many years of experience with organising and hosting seminars, conferences, weddings and special occasions catering for up to ninety people.
We are now operating "Hikurangi Homestead" situated on the eastern bank of the Whanganui River close to the city as a Bed and Breakfast / Backpackers Lodge and Conference Centre.

What We Do

For the last sixteen years we have been involved in the hospitality industry in Wanganui.
Over this time we have hosted many events from day seminars and product launches to two and three day conferences to week long team-building exercises, weddings, birthdays and other special occasions.
Our ability to provide a full service including catering and accommodation in a quiet and private setting has been important.


Facilities

There are two conference rooms. The smaller of these can accommodate around twenty participants, while the larger can seat between fifty and one hundred people.
We have more than thirty rooms for guests, most with en-suite facilities, a guest laundry, large games room and communal spaces with TV and kitchen.

Breakfast

A continental-style breakfast is included in our room rates and is available between 7.30 and 9.00 am.  This includes cereal, fruit, toast, juice and tea or coffee.

Event Catering

We thrive on challenges and will do everything to ensure a successful and memorable event at our special venue.

For conferences and functions we will work closely with the organisers to ensure all requirements are met.  We have an A-rated kitchen and can provide morning teas, lunches and dinners.
